Friends of the Rouge Seeks Volunteers for Fourth Annual Frog & Toad Survey

Friends of the Rouge is seeking volunteers to participate in its fourth annual Frog and Toad Survey program. This simple survey is fun, easy, and important to the future of our river. Volunteers are asked to go outside in the evening in designated areas near their homes to listen for the calls of nine species of frogs and toads that call from early spring through mid-summer. By noting what they hear on a map, the volunteer data can provide information about the locations of wildlife that can be saved from development, protected or enhanced.
