Planning Commission

The purposes of the Planning Commission is to support and further the goals and objectives of the Township Rural Zoning Act, P.A. 184 of 1943 and the Township planning Commission Act P.A. 168 of 1959 as amended including the following:

    Adhere to policy that complies with the preservation, protection and appropriate use of the township' resources

    Promote the character of the Township and its suitability of certain uses

    Encourage public and private agencies in improving the attractiveness of Salem Township

    Protect fragile lands, natural features, water resources, and the environmental safety of Salem Township
